REGISTER TODAY FOR GRANBY REC FALL SOCCER

REGISTER BY 4pm Friday, July 12th to avoid a $25 late fee.  Visit www.GranbyRec.com to register.

For Boys & Girls Ages Grades K-8 (grades as of 9/1/2014) This is a recreational league where the primary objective of the Youth Soccer Program is for the players to develop skills, learn good sportsmanship and above all, have fun. The emphasis is on self-improvement ? to provide each player the opportunity to reach his/her own maximum potential development for the enjoyment of soccer. The emphasis is NOT on winning: each child will contribute to the “We, the Team” concept through equal and fair play. FUNdamental (Grades K-1) teams are co-ed teams. are co-ed teams. This is a two-year program where different skills are introduced and built upon each year, preparing the child for game play with referees in Division I. This year Challenger Soccer coaches will oversee the 1-hour sessions beginning at 12:15PM (Gr K.) and 1:30PM (Gr. 1). At least 4 parent coaches are required for each session. Division 1 (gr. 2) will be co-ed, there will be separate girls and boys teams at Div. II (gr 3-4), III (gr 5-6) & IV (gr. 7-8). There will most likely be some local travel for children in grades 3-8. We will be joining the Farmington Valley Recreational Soccer League at the Division III & IV levels. Children are to be registered in their appropriate grade division. We are not responsible for practice or game cancellations due to conditions beyond our control.
Each child in every division is provided with a team T-shirt and team colored socks. Parents for all levels are responsible for mandatory cleats and shinguards. We recommend that each child have his/her own ball; be sure to buy the correct size (see table below) and put his/her name on it. Additionally, no jewelry of any kind including earring posts is allowed during practices and games.
