East Granby Lions Get Grant for Roadside American Flag Project

The Flags for East Granby project started in 2010 and American Flags have been displayed in the vicinity of the East Granby Town Hall along Route 187 and Route 20 ever since. This project was originally started by volunteers with donations from many businesses and residents in our community. Towards continued support of the Flag Project, the East Granby Lions applied for and received a $400 grant from Eversource Energy to purchase American Flags which they are donating to the Town. On August 14th, Kevin Witkos from Eversource presented a check to East Granby Lions President, Janet Keough and First Selectman Jim Hayden.
