Robbery Suspects Apprehended

Quick Action by Police Results in Two Arrests

On November 8, 2017 at approximately 2:15 pm, the NH Deli and Grocery convenience store located at 95 Spoonville Road in East Granby reported an armed robbery. Resident Trooper Mahar and Officer Loveland of the East Granby Resident Trooper Office were immediately dispatched to the area and quickly arrived at the scene. The robbery was confirmed with the clerk who stated she had been robbed by a male with a knife. Through the investigation it was determined that the suspect and an unknown female left in a dark colored pickup truck. A broadcast of the information was immediately relayed to Troop H and surrounding towns which resulted in a black pickup truck being stopped in Bloomfield by Trooper Tanner and officers from the Bloomfield Police Department. The suspects were later identified and arrested for the robbery of the store. Both suspects, Thomas Phillips of Windsor and Alisha Phillips of East Windsor are being held on $50,000 bond and have been assigned court dates of November 9, 2017 at GA 13 in Enfield.

My thanks to the State Police, East Granby Police, Bloomfield Police and surrounding towns police department for their quick resolution of this matter.
