UPDATED INFORMATION - Route 20 and the Recycling Center Closure this Weekend.

Sections of Route 20 to be closed at 7 pm on July 21st until 6 am on July 24th. The Recycling Center will be closed on Saturday, July 22nd

Updated Information - Please note that the recycling collection center (RCC) will be closed on Saturday, July 22nd due to the Route 20 Construction Project. The RCC will reopen on July 25th, its regularly scheduled day.

Route 20 Reminder - The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT) has announced that from 7 pm on Friday, July 21st to 6 am on Monday, July 24th there will be a closure (weather permitting) of Route 20 in East Granby to replace a bridge/culvert that carries Route 20 over Muddy Brook near the East Granby Recycling Center and the Granby town line. The project consists of the removal of the existing culvert and the installation of a new Box Culvert under Route 20. The project also involves roadway reconstruction including excavation and paving in the area of the culvert, installation of metal beam rail and plantings. CT DOT has installed detour signs.

Route 20 Lane Closure Information: Road and bridge/culvert closed Friday July 21, 2017 at 7 pm to Monday July 24, 2017 at 6:00 am.
Detour Route: Route 20 East: Follow Route 189, south to Route 187, north. Route 20 West: Follow Route 187, south to Route 189, north. Barricades will be put up west of Holcomb Street and Newgate Road. Local traffic will be allowed only, no through traffic.

Route 187 North - CT DOT will be repaving Route 187 north from the intersection of Route 20 and Route 187 in the center of East Granby to the Massachusetts border. Construction is anticipated to begin on August 2nd and continue until August 17th. There may be delays with flaggers but no road closures during that period of time.
