The CEP required Witkos to raise $15,000 in small contributions and have at least 300 donors that reside in the towns within the district.

“I’m delighted with the overwhelming support I’ve received and I am encouraged that so many people wanted to support my reelection efforts,” Witkos stated. “As I speak with the voters in the district and listen to their concerns, it’s clear that we have to change the way things are operating in Hartford. Our residents worry everyday that they will be hit with another tax increase or new tax on items that used to be tax-free. People can’t afford it and are tired of the Democrats and Gov. Malloy’s constant picking of their pocket.”
