Send Us Your Feline Photos for National Cat Day

Founded 10 years ago, National Cat Day is celebrated on Oct. 29, and Granby-East Granby Patch wants to publish your beloved pet photos.

National Cat Day, founded by animal welfare advocate Colleen Paige in 2005, is celebrated annually on Oct. 29. The holiday’s web site says the intention is “to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of cats that need to be rescued each year and also to encourage cat lovers to celebrate the cat(s) in their life for the unconditional love and companionship they bestow upon us.”

Granby-East Granby Patch wants its readers to share their beloved feline friends with their neighbors. We will publish a photo gallery of local kitties at noon on Thursday, Oct. 29.

Email a high quality JPEG photo of your cat to tim.jensen@patch.com. Please include the animal’s name and hometown (since I publish multiple sites).
