State Police Seeking Suspect in East Granby Burglary

The man smashed the glass in the front door and stole an undisclosed amount of merchandise.

Connecticut State Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect in a recent East Granby burglary.

On Dec. 11, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Troop H responded to a 911 call reporting a burglary at the Airport 66 gas station/Grab N Go Food Court located at 150 Rainbow Road, East Granby.

A worker on scene heard glass break and sought refuge. Surveillance camera video reveals the suspect as a light-skinned black male wearing a blue knit watch cap, black leather jacket possibly with a hood, blue jeans, black shoes or boots.

The suspect broke the glass in the front door to make entry. He entered with a rectangular clothes basket, white in color with 4 green handles, and took an unknown quantity of Newport and Camel cigarettes, Munny Maker cigars, Black and Mild cigars, and disposable lighters.

The suspect arrived in a vehicle from a westerly direction and fled in an easterly direction towards the airport connector. The vehicle was white in color, 4-door, hatchback minivan-type vehicle. The windows were tapered front to back and wrapped around the rear. The side mirrors were white in color with black plastic ends, no sunroof, possibly a Nissan Quest or similar type vehicle
