Toddler, 3 Adults Hurt In East Granby Crash

A 1-year-old child was among four people taken to Hartford Hospital after a Thursday morning crash in East Granby.

EAST GRANBY, CT — Four people, including a 1-year-old child, were taken to Hartford Hospital after a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in East Granby, according to Connecticut State Police.

The crash happened around 7:32 a.m. at Rainbow Road and Bradley Park Road near International Drive.

State police said an Ambassador Wheelchair Services van was heading south on Rainbow Road when a Subaru Forester entered the intersection from Bradley Park Road and hit the van.

Inside the van were a 66-year-old Hartford woman who was driving, a 68-year-old Hartford woman, and a 1-year-old child. The other vehicle was driven by a 65-year-old Suffield woman.

All four were taken to Hartford Hospital with possible injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Police said the Subaru driver was responsible for the crash after going through a flashing red signal without yielding.
