Update: Driver Still in Critical Condition Following Crash in Granby

A two-car crash closed part of Route 20 for four hours on Sunday.

A driver is still in critical condition after a two-car crash in Granby Sunday.

Emergency responders went to the scene around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route 20 and Day Street. A Honda Civic operated by Scott Harper, 58, of Winstead collided with a Chevrolet Malibu operated by Jose Carrasquillo, 30, of Enfield.

Harper sustained serious injuries and was transported via LifeStar Helicopter to Hartford Hospital, according to Capt. William Tyler of Granby Police. He is still listed in critical condition.

The other driver and three passengers were uninjured.

The road was closed for about four hours during the investigation. The North Centrla Muncipal Accident Reconstruction Team is assisting.

The incident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
