[Viewfinder] Granby Land Trust Celebrates Art in Nature
Art exhibition is being held at J. Vallee Brunelle Fine art & Framing until Dec. 3.
It may have come two days later than anticipated, but the Granby Land Trust opened its “Celebrating Art in Nature,” juried art exhibition at the in Granby on Saturday.
Postponed from its original opening date of Nov. 3 due to the power outages caused by a late-October nor’easter, the art show, which is scheduled to run until Dec. 3, features 59 exhibited pieces, 14 of which received awards, according to Granby Land Trust President Rick Orluk.
Over 130 pieces were submitted for entry into the exhibition, which was juried by David Lussier, an award-winning plein air painter.
Much of the work submitted came from The Big Paint event supported by the Granby Land Trust and the Granby Artists Association held at Emery Farm in North Granby in September.
The accompanying photo gallery shows off some of the art work at the exhibition and the people who were in attendance Saturday.
The event was supported by Fiduciary Investment Advisors and ALIRT Insurance Research.
