Vote Tally On Granby Budget Proposal Revealed

More than 2,300 Granby residents voted on the proposed budget.

GRANBY, CT — Voters rejected the proposed budget at referendum by a tally of 1,262 to 1,116, according to town officials.

Information via the town of Granby:

"FY 2026-2027 Budget Does Not Pass Repeat Referendum -The Town of Granby proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 did not pass referendum on Monday, May 4, 2026, by a vote of 1262 to 1116.

Per the Granby Town Charter, there will be another public hearing held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Granby Memorial High School.

This public hearing will discuss the new proposed budget. A budget vote on the new budget will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM in the Granby Town Hall Meeting Room.
