WEATHER UPDATE A Little More Snow, Dangerous Winds, 25 Below Zero Wind Chills for Granby and East Granby

The National Weather Service has issued advisories and warnings for snow, high winds, and dangerously low wind chills for today.

When you think blizzard, you think snow measured in feet and that’s not what happened here, but to their credit the Connecticut meteorologist got this one largely correct.

They always predicted today’s strong winds and sub-zero wind chill readings would be the real story here and not the snow accumulation. All told the meteorologists predicted 3-6 inches of total snow accumulation from this storm.

The National Weather Service predicted the possibility of up to eight inches in areas of the state but that largely didn’t happen.
