Southington Apple Harvest Festival. Situated around the beautiful Southington Town Green, the Apple Harvest Festival is a family-oriented event which attracts an estimated 100,000 visitors annually. Parade, fireworks, carnival, food and MORE!

Martial Arts Day at the Connecticut Science Center! Celebrate the physical skill, discipline & sport of martial arts. 13th Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest at Imagine Nation Museum. Get out your smelliest, stinkiest sneakers!

Oktoberfest at Hunter Mountain Ski Area and Resort. German Heritage at Hunter Mountain, and join in an old-world tradition. Enjoy German-American music, Austrian music and local bands and family activities including pumpkin painting and crafts all for free!

Harwinton Fair. 158th annual fair - October 4 & 5, 2014.
