As Winter Sports Open, A Look At Granby/East Granby Past Team Titles
In the current winter sports, Granby Memorial High School has won two team championships, while East Granby seeks its first state title.
GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — The winter sports campaign is officially upon us as practice is scheduled to open Monday for high school wrestling, girls basketball and ice hockey teams throughout Connecticut. Indoor track, boys basketball, boys swimming and gymnastics all begin practice Thursday.
With players slated to take the court, ice and mat later this afternoon, dreams of a state championship berth in March are already formulating in the minds of athletes and coaches alike.
