Zawistowski Appointed as Alternate for Finance Advisory Committee
Rep. Tami Zawistowski has been appointed to the State of Connecticut's Finance Advisory Committee as an alternate for Rep. Melissa Ziobron.

From the Connecticut General Assembly: State Representative Tami Zawistowski (R-61) was recently appointed to the State of Connecticut’s Finance Advisory Committee as an alternate to State Representative Melissa Ziobron (R-34).
The Finance Advisory Committee monitors and potentially shifts funds within a particular department that were previously appointed on a case-by-case basis. The Committee meets on a monthly basis to oversee appropriated funds and state agency accounts.
“It is an honor to have been appointed to the state’s Finance Advisory Committee” said Zawistowski. “It is extremely important that we monitor the movement of resources as necessary in departments after funds are appropriated in order to ensure programs receive appropriate funding.”

“As a small business owner, Representative Zawistowski will surely bring unique insight to the committee that will help balance appropriated funds within state agencies” said House Minority Leader Themis Klarides.
“Representative Zawistowski brings knowledge and experience to the Finance Advisory Committee that will bring great benefit to the people of Connecticut” continued State Representative Melissa Ziobron, Ranking Member of the Legislature’s Appropriations Committee.

Representative Zawistowski’s appointment is effective immediately and expires January 9th, 2019.
