1 Rescued From Car After Crash: Greenwich Fire Department

Units were called to the scene on a report of a car crash with entrapment, the Greenwich Fire Department said.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich firefighters rescued a person from a car after a crash on the west side of Greenwich Wednesday morning.

Units were called to the 100 block of Weaver Street on a report of a car crash with entrapment, the Greenwich Fire Department said on Facebook.

Engine 2 and Engine 3, which were in the area for a prior call in the northwest section of town, were redirected to the scene. Firefighters were able to extract the driver within 15 minutes of arrival, the GFD said.

The person was then handed over to Greenwich Emergency Medical Services, the GFD noted. It was unclear if there were any reported injuries.

Greenwich police conducted the crash investigation.
