14 Percent of Greenwich Restaurants Fail Recent Inspection Round

Many of the restaurants have since corrected their errors.

GREENWICH, CT- About 14 percent of restaurants inspected in a recent batch of health inspections got a failing grade.

159 inspection reports were done for the last quarter of 2015, which is the most recent data available, according to Greenwich Time. A failure is a score below 80 or any 4-point violation pertaining to food temperature or handling.

A Riverside Chipotle got two 4-point violations. Le Fat Poodle in Old Greenwich got a failing score, but a re-inspection earned the restaurant a 93. A co-owner said that the inspection happened between shifts and some of the little details fell through the cracks, but the situation was addressed immediately.
