2 Caught Stealing Car Mirrors From Dealership: Greenwich Police
Police say two men stole mirrors from several vehicles in a car dealership parking lot during the overnight hours on Thursday.
GREENWICH, CT — Two Bronx men were arrested early Thursday morning for stealing side-view mirrors from cars in a car dealership parking lot in Greenwich, according to police.
Police responded to a dealership on West Putnam Avenue at about 4:15 a.m. on the report of suspicious men in a secured parking lot, Lt. John Slusarz said. Police found that several vehicles were missing the side view mirrors.
Joshua Mayo, 23, and Hediberto Rodriguez, 21, were found in the area and questioned.

Slusarz said both men “attempted to mislead” police about who they were and why they were there. Further investigation determined that they were responsible for the thefts, according to Slusarz. Mayo was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, Slusarz said.
Mayo was arrested on nine counts of fourth-degree larceny, 11 counts of conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, two counts of criminal attempt at fourth-degree larceny and one count each of criminal trespass, interfering with officer and possession of marijuana. He was held on a $10,000 bond with a court date of Jan. 10.
