2 Connecticut Cities Ranks Among Nation's Most Sinful

If you're looking for a little something naughty, pretty much cross Connecticut off your list. Of 182 "sinful" cities in the United States, only two are located in the Constitution State, according to a new report from WalletHub.

And neither one of Connecticut's contributions to "2o17's Most Sinful Cities in America" cracked the top 100. New Haven came in at #101, and Bridgeport at #157.

"Luckily for the saints among us, all American vices are not created, or distributed, equally," writes WalletHub's Richie Bernardo. "So in order to identify the darkest corners of America, WalletHub’s data crunchers compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 32 key indicators of evil deeds. Our data set ranges from violent crimes per capita to excessive drinking to potential cheaters."

New Haven's highest-charting vice was #36 under the "Anger & Hatred" ranking, while Bridgeport's #55 under the "Greed" ranking. The report's other ranking categories are "Jealousy," "Excesses & Vices," "Lust," "Vanity" and "Laziness." Click here to read the publication's full methodology.

No surprise that Las Vegas was ranked as the #1 most sinful city, considering it's known as "Sin City." Orlando and Miami, FL were next, followed by St. Louis, MO, and North Las Vegas to round out the top 5.

As for the least sinful city in America, South Burlington, VT takes that prize, followed by Pearl City, Hawaii; Brownsville, TX; West Valley City, Utah; and Port St. Lucie, FL.
