Two men later identified as Young and Harvey were detained, and on-scene investigation found they conspired to return several stolen items at a retail store, police said.

Additionally, three foil-lined tote bags, often referred to as "booster bags," were found within Harvey's car, along with stolen merchandise from other jurisdictions, police said.

Young was unable to post a $500,000 bond, and Harvey was released on a written promise to appear.

Both men are scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Aug. 14.
