2nd Annual Chris Rurak Scholarship Award Event Scheduled For Aug. 20
Two Greenwich High School student-athletes will receive scholarships from the Chris Rurak Foundation.
GREENWICH, CT — The second annual Chris Rurak scholarship fundraiser is scheduled for Aug. 20 at the Old Greenwich Social Club. The event will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and feature an auction, live music and a hockey shootout.
Additionally, Greenwich High School student-athletes Danny Windels and Kevin Keaveney will receive scholarships from the Chris Rurak Foundation.
"They were selected to receive this year’s scholarship because they embody so many of the characteristics that Coach Rurak valued. Specifically, his willingness to preserve and put in the work even when it isn’t easy," the foundation's website says.
