3 Candidate Debates Scheduled By League Of Women Voters Of Greenwich
Election Day for municipal elections in Connecticut this fall is Nov. 7.

GREENWICH, CT — The League of Women Voters of Greenwich has scheduled three candidate debates for the Nov. 7 municipal election, the group recently announced.
On Sept. 5, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the group will host a debate for the Republican Board of Estimate and Taxation candidates: Bill Drake, Debra Hess, Michael Mason, Nancy Weissler, Karen Fassuliotis, Andy Duus (all endorsed candidates), and Leslie Tarkington, petitioner.
The debate will be in Cone Room of Greenwich Town, and the moderator be Kay Maxwell, Stamford League of Women Voters. A cumulative time format will be used.

The second debate, for the Tax Collector candidates, will be on Oct. 5 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., again in the Cone Room of Greenwich Town Hall.
In this debate, Tod Laudonia, R, Incumbent, and Howard Richman, D, challenger, will square off, with Jean Rabinow, of the Bridgeport Area League of Women Voters, moderating. A timed response format will be used.

For the final debate, scheduled for Oct. 17, the Board of Selectmen candidates will face each other from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Meeting Room of Greenwich Town Hall.
"Format will include a brief presentation by Selectmen candidates from 7:30 to 7:45," wrote the league in a brief description on its website. "First Selectman debate will begin at 7:50 through 9 o'clock, using the timed response format. Candidates are: Selectmen: John F. Toner, R, incumbent and Drew Marzullo, D, Incumbent; First Selectman: Peter J. Tesei, R Incumbent and Sanford Litvack, D, challenger. Moderator Marianne Pollak of the Stamford League."
