3-Story Residential Building Proposed In Downtown Greenwich: P&Z Docs

Plans to demolish an office building and build a three-story residential building have been submitted to the Greenwich P&Z Department.

GREENWICH, CT — A proposal to demolish the 7,000-square-foot office building at 103 Mason St., and construct a 15,000-square-foot three-story residential building has been submitted to the Greenwich Planning & Zoning Department.

The office building was previously occupied by Computer SuperCenter.

The applicant — 103 Mason Street LLC — is proposing to build a seven-unit residential building that would contain two two-bedroom apartments, with one of them classified as an affordable housing unit.

There would also be five three-bedroom units along with 14 underground parking spaces and 10 surface parking spaces, according to documents on file with the town.

Storage and mechanical space would be provided at the garage level.

Thomas J. Heagney, attorney for the applicant, said the proposed building would meet the height and floor area limitations of the town's building zone regulations.

The current office building was built in 1960, submitted documents state. The tax card notes the property is owned by 103 Mason Street LLC, which is associated with Brian Desrosier, who was the owner of Computer SuperCenter.

A pre-application review is being requested. The item has not yet been scheduled to go before the Greenwich Planning & Zoning Commission.
