37 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Within Greenwich Public Schools

After COVID-19 cases were holding steady for a couple weeks, there has been a slight uptick, according to the latest update.

GREENWICH, CT — After new COVID-19 cases in Greenwich Public Schools have hovered around 22 for the past four updates, the number jumped up slightly to 37 on Tuesday, according to the district's COVID-19 tracker.

The tracker updates each Tuesday and Friday.

Currently, there are 33 active COVID-19 cases affecting 12 schools across town. Greenwich High School has the most current cases with six, followed by Central Middle School at 5.

Of the 33 cases, 23 are students, eight are teachers and two are non-teaching staff.

Despite the small uptick, cases are still very low compared to the beginning of 2022 when the high for new cases was 392 on Jan. 4.

Since school began on Sept. 1, there have been 2,329 cases district-wide.
