3rd Annual 'Live Like Luke' Beach Cleanup Event Scheduled For April 30
The event is being held in honor of Luke Meyers, a Greenwich High School activist who died from cancer in 2019.

GREENWICH, CT — On Saturday, April 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Greenwich community will come out to help remove the winter's trash that has built up at Greenwich Point Park.
The event is being held in honor of Luke Meyers, a Greenwich High School activist who died from cancer in 2019. Meyers was dedicated to making improvements in the community to benefit the environment and the quality of life in Greenwich.
All non-biodegradable debris will be tallied and reported to Save the Sound for submission to the Ocean Conservancy which coordinates results from organizations throughout the world to collect to analyze the pollution in the earth’s waters.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is honoring Meyers by installing a climate change education exhibit at the Bruce Museum Seaside Center. Meyers wanted the exhibit to focus on sea-level rise and its impact on Long Island Sound marine life, and to increase awareness of what actions can be taken to slow down global warming.
All are welcome to attend. Community service certificates will be available.
