5 Vehicles Stolen In Greenwich: Police

Police said five vehicles parked in Greenwich were stolen over the weekend, bringing the total number stolen in June up to eight.

GREENWICH, CT — Police said five vehicles parked in Greenwich were stolen between Friday and Saturday, bringing the total number of vehicles stolen in June up to eight. According to Lt. Mark Zuccerella, a Jeep Wrangler was stolen from Glendale Street on Friday.

That same day, both a Volkswagen Jetta and a BMW X5 were stolen from Riverside Avenue. All three vehicles were ultimately recovered in Bridgeport, Zuccerella said.

On Saturday, a Subaru was taken from Edgewater Drive, according to Zuccerella. As of Monday, it has not been recovered. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

That same day, a Honda Pilot was stolen from Edgewater Drive. That vehicle was eventually recovered in West Hartford, Zuccerella said.

According to Zuccerella, a total of eight vehicles have been stolen in Greenwich during the month of June, including:

  • an Audi stolen from Hope Farm Road on June 8 (recovered in Waterbury)
  • a Toyota RAV 4 stolen from Clarke Street on June 8 (recovered in Bridgeport)
  • a Range Rover stolen from Buckfield Lane on June 16 (recovered in Waterbury)

Additionally, money and a debit card were stolen from a vehicle parked on Edgewater Drive, Zuccerella said. The theft occurred Saturday and was "related to the car thefts" on that street, Zuccerella said.
