62nd Annual Greenwich Lions Pancake Breakfast Set For March 8

Proceeds from the breakfast will support the many service projects the Greenwich Lions Club conducts.

GREENWICH, CT — The Lions Club of Greenwich will hold its 62nd annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, March 8 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Greenwich High School Student Center.

"It will be the 62 Pancake Breakfast for the Lions Club and we are excited about our third year in Greenwich High School’s Student Center," said Allen O’Farrell, chair of the event.

As always, the veteran pancake chefs will serve up traditional and a few specialized flapjack varieties. The menu includes unlimited pancakes, sausages, syrup, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk. The Lions cooks will be manning the grills and preparing and flipping pancakes and sausages right in front of the customers, Allen explained.

"This event is more than just pancakes though, as we have entertainment, a bake sale, door prizes, free eye screening for 2 to 6 year olds and face painting by Faces By Wells, all for a great cause. Plus, new this year, we’ll be presenting the Lion’s Club donations to over 30 local nonprofits," Allen added.

Proceeds from the breakfast will support the many service projects that the Greenwich Lion’s Club conducts to help Greenwich residents and those in surrounding communities.
