911 Outage Reported In Greenwich, Police Say
Technicians are actively working to restore service, police said.
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department says it is experiencing a phone service outage affecting 911 service on Monday night.
Calls to 911 are being routed to the Stamford Emergency Communications Center and directed back to Greenwich police through emergency hotline and state police network systems, police said.
Technicians are actively working to restore service. Residents should continue to call 911 when needed, but the public should not test the system unless there is a real emergency, police said.
