Original story:About 30 customers affected by the water main break in Cos Cob should get their service back between 5 and 7 p.m. Wednesday night.
The break occurred at Mead Avenue and River Road, said Peter Fazekas, director of public relations for the Aquarion Water Company.
An 8-inch main at the intersection broke. Crews should know the cause of the break around 4 p.m. after excavation is done, Fazekas said. Crews will also know whether the section of the main has to be replaced or if it can be clamped down.
