GREENWICH, CT — The 62nd running of the Jim Fixx Memorial Day Race is scheduled for Monday, May 25, in Greenwich.
The event, one of the oldest in the state, includes a 5K race and kids' run events.
The 5-kilometer race will begin at 8:15 a.m. on Greenwich Avenue at East Elm Street.
The course will run through central Greenwich, including Bruce Park, and finishes on the track at Havemeyer Field behind Town Hall.
A children's run for those 7 and under is scheduled to follow at 9:15 a.m. on the track, and then at 9:25 a.m. for those 8 to 14.
Race day check-in begins at 7 a.m. at the Wallace Center, 299 Greenwich Ave. Pre-registered participants may pick up race materials on Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the same location.
Registration for the event is available online only, with no in-person registration offered.
The entry fees for the 5K race are $38 by May 23, or $43 on or after May 24.
The kids' run is $10 by May 23, and $15 on or after May 24.
