Items will be available for purchase at the Abilis Gardens & Gifts pop-up shop at Greenwich Town Hall on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as during the Greenwich and Darien Sidewalk Sales in July.

The items will also be available during the town-wide "Sunday in the Park with George" event scheduled for June 28 at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich.

The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is set to include a visit by the tall ship Oosterschelde, historical reenactors portraying George and Martha Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Benedict Arnold, as well as music, games and other activities.

"Abilis is proud to contribute and help celebrate America’s 250th by having our community members create beautiful, handmade items that celebrate this historic milestone," said Abilis President and CEO Amy Montimurro in a news release.

"These red, white and blue-themed items are a wonderful way to wave the flag for creativity, community pride and inclusion. Each purchase supports the talents and work of Abilis community members, helps showcase their creativity and contributions to the community, and supports our ever-important Abilis Competitive Employment program, with our training site at Abilis Gardens & Gifts," Montimurro added.

"Each item also brings a touch of Americana to the home, table or celebration and offers a meaningful way to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary."

According to Abilis, the Gardens & Gifts program provides opportunities for adults with disabilities to develop job skills, create handmade products and participate in the community through floral and gift production.

The Abilis Gardens & Gifts pop-up shop is located at Greenwich Town Hall, 101 Field Point Road. For more information, .
