The job board aims to connect students with local employers seeking part-time workers, summer employees, interns and early-career talent.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich High School PTA has launched a new online job board aimed at connecting students with local employers seeking part-time workers, summer employees, interns and early-career talent.

The platform, Starteryou, is now available to the Greenwich community through a collaboration involving the PTA, school administration and the school’s College and Career Counseling Center.

Employers can register at starteryou.com to post opportunities. A tutorial video is also available for employers, and the Starteryou app can be downloaded through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

"The GHS PTA has ensured there is a job board for the GHS community for many years, but we had to find a new one this year," said GHS PTA Co-President Monica Huang, in an announcement. "We reviewed several options and selected Starteryou because it best supports our students and community. It offers the functionality students, families and employers want and aligns with the needs of the school and district."

Alison Lochridge, who leads the GHS College and Career Counseling Center, emphasized the demand.

"A job board is just essential for our students, and there’s tremendous demand for this from individuals and businesses in our community. Every week, students ask me about how they can find work and other opportunities… and every week, prospective employers call me to ask how they can hire the hardworking, talented students at GHS," Lochridge said.

Starteryou CEO and founder Michael Berlingo said the company has already seen job postings from Greenwich employers.

"We work with a number of schools and districts in Connecticut, but we’re really excited about the opportunity to support the Greenwich High School students, Greenwich families, and local employers who want to post jobs. In the first days, we’ve already seen job postings in Greenwich," Berlingo said.

The PTA said local businesses, nonprofits and families are encouraged to use the platform to post opportunities for students.
