GREENWICH, CT — A community blood drive has been scheduled in Greenwich on June 1.
The drive will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Greenwich Reform Synagogue in Cos Cob.
Residents are encouraged to sign up in advance online, although walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are also blood drives scheduled in Greenwich on Aug. 3 and Oct. 5.
"Let your friends, co-workers and family know about this too because the more donors there are, the better it is for everyone," First Selectman Fred Camillo said in a recent weekly newsletter to the community. "Thank you to Greenwich resident Gary Silberberg for putting these blood drives together throughout the year. The need is great and by signing up you can help save lives."
