GREENWICH, CT — The Town of Greenwich Department of Public Works will host a public information meeting on the Fairfield Road Culvert Replacement Project.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room.
According to Greenwich DPW, the project is currently in the design phase and is more than 60 percent complete, with construction anticipated in spring 2027 pending full grant funding approval.
The public information meeting will provide an overview of the project, including scope, timeline, and anticipated impacts, and will offer an opportunity for the public to ask questions and provide feedback.
The Fairfield Road south culvert carries the roadway over East Branch Brothers Brook. DPW says the proposed project involves the replacement of the culvert and upgrades to the hydraulic opening of the bridge.
During the most recent inspection, the structure received a "poor condition" rating due to significant repairs needed on the headwalls and culvert. A replacement is recommended to avoid potential road closures and traffic impacts in the future.
Additional information is available on the project webpage.
