GREENWICH, CT — Monday night's Greenwich RTM meeting has been postponed due to the widespread power outages and downed tree debris that hit the town over the weekend, RTM Moderator Alexis Voulgaris confirmed Monday morning.
The meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, June 15, 8 p.m. at Central Middle School.
Greenwich experienced thousands of power outages and multiple road closures as severe storms moved through the area on Saturday.
As of Monday morning, there were fewer than four outages in town, according to the Eversource outage map.
Greenwich Town Hall was slated to open at 12 p.m. Monday due to a "site-specific issue," First Selectman Fred Camillo announced. Eversource was working on a fix, he said.
Monday's RTM meeting was shaping up to be a jam-packed event, with members considering the town's school zone speed camera program and possible referral for state approval, the Municipal Improvement status of the proposed Hamill Rink, and the acceptance of $200,000 for a statue of President George H.W. Bush.
