GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund held its fifth annual benefit car show on June 6 at Greenwich Town Hall, featuring vintage, classic and specialty vehicles to raise money for scholarships benefiting the children of Greenwich police officers.
The event drew car enthusiasts, families, local businesses and community members for a day of automotive displays, music and fundraising.
"This event is a wonderful reflection of the generosity and spirit of Greenwich," Greenwich Police Chief Jim Heavey said in a news release. "The Greenwich Police Department is proud to serve such a supportive community, and the Scholarship Fund helps ensure the children of our officers have the opportunity to pursue their academic goals. We are grateful to everyone who participated, sponsored, volunteered, and attended."
The scholarship fund provides financial assistance to children of Greenwich police officers who demonstrate ability, character and academic promise and who qualify for undergraduate studies.
