New Upscale-Casual Restaurant To Open In Greenwich

A new restaurant is opening in Greenwich. Here's what diners can expect.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Grill, described as an upscale-casual American restaurant offering elevated classics, is set to open on Wednesday in Glenville at The Mill Waterfall.

Located at 328 Pemberwick Road beside a flowing waterfall, the restaurant is in the former space of Centro and, more recently, The Lion Brasserie.

The Mill at nearby 10 Glenville St. is a mixed-use property along the Byram River. The property features apartments and retail space across five buildings, including a former mill building from 1881 and a converted office building from 1981.

"An exciting new chapter begins this season at The Mill," a recent Instagram post from The Mill Greenwich said. "Introducing Greenwich Grill, the newest waterfront dining destination at The Mill. Discover a fresh take on American classics, thoughtfully crafted with a modern twist. Welcome to the neighborhood."

Over the past few weeks, Greenwich Grill has teased its menu and craft cocktails on social media.

The menu at Greenwich Grill features a range of American grill offerings, with starters including tuna tartare, grilled Spanish octopus, miniature Connecticut lobster rolls, crispy fried calamari, grilled thick-cut bacon, French onion soup, and much more.

Main courses include a 14-ounce prime New York strip steak, grilled Atlantic salmon, half roasted chicken, burger, ribs, pasta dishes and more.

Diners can also choose from salads such as the Greenwich chopped salad, Caesar salad, Mediterranean salad and a seasonal salad.

Dessert offerings include a lemon ricotta cheesecake, dark chocolate lava cake, olive oil cake, Key lime pie, and a selection of gelato and sorbet.

The beverage program includes a selection of craft cocktails alongside beer, wine and spirits.

Signature cocktail highlights include the London Mist, made with house-infused Earl Grey Empress gin, lavender, violet and lemon; the Tropical Heat Wave, featuring habanero-infused tequila with passion fruit and a Tajín rim; and the GG Espresso Martini, made with house-infused vanilla bean vodka and espresso caffe liqueur. The menu also includes a selection of mocktails.

For those who want a more relaxed and social space, Greenwich Grill offers a space called The G-Bar, "ideal for unwinding after work, date nights, or catching the game."

A sold-out grand opening event is scheduled for Wednesday evening.

Greenwich Grill will be open from Sunday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
