GREENWICH, CT — The Sound Beach Community Band is scheduled to perform a free concert featuring the music of Billy Joel and Elton John on Sunday, July 26, at 7 p.m. at Binney Park in Old Greenwich.
The performance is part of the Greenwich Parks & Recreation Summer Concerts series. First Selectman Fred Camillo is slated to serve as guest conductor.
The Sound Beach Community Band is led by Music Director Zachary Kampler, and the concert will include music arranged by Assistant Conductor and trombonist Lisa Romeo.
Established in 1955, the Sound Beach Community Band is a private, nonprofit organization whose membership includes musicians ranging from middle school students, by audition, to active and retired professional musicians.
