Road Closed In Greenwich, Drivers Urged To Avoid Area: Police

GREENWICH, CT —Havemeyer Place is closed between Mason Street and Greenwich Avenue for all eastbound traffic, according to an announcement late Monday afternoon from police.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

Police did not specify the reason for the closure.

The Greenwich Fire Department announced earlier that units were at the scene of an underground electrical issue at the corner of Havemeyer Place and Greenwich Avenue.

Eversource has been notified, the GFD said.
