GREENWICH, CT — The Cos Cob Post Office at 152 E. Putnam Ave. has been temporarily closed due to renovations, according to an announcement issued Aug. 7 from the United States Postal Service.
"We apologize for this inconvenience to our customers and plan to have the Cos Cob post office reopened and fully operational as soon as possible," the announcement said.
It was not immediately clear how long the post office will be closed.
In the meantime, retail services will be offered at the downtown Greenwich post office - 44 Amogerone Crossway - during the closure.
Retail window hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and closed on Sunday.
Drop shipments will also be accepted at the Greenwich post office at 29 Valley Drive. Drop shipment hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.
