Greenwich Public Schools Announces Free, Reduced-Price Meal Eligibility Policy (patch.com) โ€” Families in Greenwich can now review updated income guidelines to see if their children qualify for free or reduced-price meals or milk in local public schools for the 2026โ€“27 year. The district explains how direct certification through programs like SNAP, TFA, HUSKY A, and S-EBT works, and outlines how to apply, appeal decisions, and access civil rights protections without sharing information for immigration enforcement.

Another Backcountry House Proposed for Demolition (greenwichfreepress.com) โ€” A 1910 home at 577 Round Hill Road in Greenwich is proposed for demolition, with a 45-day waiting period running through Sept. 15, 2026, and the permit eligible on Sept. 16. Because the house predates 1940, any written objection to DPW's Building Division will extend the delay to 90 days. Residents can review the application or raise concerns by contacting the Buildings Division.

Greenwich Unveils New $112 Million Central Middle School (patch.com) โ€” Greenwich has officially opened its new $112 million Central Middle School, giving students a modern, two-story campus just in time for the new year.
