GREENWICH, CT — A section of North Street is scheduled to reopen to traffic on Aug. 28 as work continues on the North Street Bridge replacement project, according to the Greenwich Department of Public Works.
The reopening will end the full road closure in time for the start of the school year, but it will not mark the project's completion.
Motorists should expect alternating one-way traffic and temporary disruptions during the workday as needed for construction. Police officers or flaggers will direct traffic when necessary, and other traffic controls may be implemented as work continues.
The project aims to replace the aging bridge and improve long-term safety and reliability. Construction began in March and is expected to be completed next spring.
Motorists are encouraged to follow posted signs and directions from police officers or flaggers. Residents should allow additional travel time and remain attentive to changing traffic patterns.
