GREENWICH, CT — Super Bowl champion and former quarterback Russell Wilson was spotted in Greenwich last week at two favorite local businesses.

Wilson stopped by Glenville Pizza at 243 Glenville Road about a week ago and picked up a few slices, according to owner Frankie Ferraro.

Ferraro posted a selfie with Wilson on social media.

"He's so humble and such a gentleman; he's respectful and nice. It was a pleasure and a privilege to have him in my place," Ferraro told Patch, noting Wilson, who last played for the New York Giants, has been in for pizza quite a few times and even signed a pizza box.

Wilson last week also stopped by Logos Greenwich at 12 Riversville Road, a small business that specializes in custom apparel, embroidery, screen printing, promotional products, and more.

Greenwich Logos owner Gina Furano told Patch Wilson is "a great, great guy."

A photo posted on Greenwich Logos' social media shows Wilson and Furano, with a caption that reads, "The 3BRAND RACING items looks great."

The caption refers to 3BRAND Racing, the horse racing stable Wilson owns with his wife, Ciara.

Wilson's horse, Club Reign, won its racing debut at Saratoga Race Track this past weekend.

Wilson, 37, played 14 seasons in the NFL, mostly with the Seattle Seahawks, where he won Super Bowl XLVIII. He also played two seasons with the Denver Broncos, and one season each with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Giants.

He officially retired in June and announced he would be joining CBS as a broadcast analyst.

A 10-time Pro Bowl selection and the 2020 recipient of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, Wilson retired as the only quarterback with 40,000 passing yards and 5,000 rushing yards.
