Two terms as State House Representative for the 151st, and elected member of the Greenwich RTM since 2019.

Why are you seeking this office?

I am seeking re-election because while am very proud of the what we have been able to deliver on there is still work to be done. Continuing State support towards our school construction, consistent funding for non-profits that provide essential resources to our community, expanding early childhood and special education resources, reducing energy costs, and working with or local leadership to develop responsible housing plans.

What do you believe is the No. 1 issue facing Connecticut, and how do you plan to address it?

Affordability is a defining issue for Greenwich and Connecticut. Federal actions have accelerated economic pressures and inflation continues to be a burden on our quality of live. The cost of housing, childcare, and energy are impacting us all. I will continue to prioritize policy that supports our community such as the family caregiver tax credit, continuing the work in my recent term to support the $300M Early Childhood Endowment Fund, establishing universal free school breakfast programs, and expanding upon tax credits for renewable clean energy.

Energy costs have been soaring in Connecticut. What are your plans to help address this issue?

I believe clean renewable energy is a pathway to affordability. Expanding credits for accessibility across commercial and residential properties. Continuing to create partnerships like the Revolution Wind Project which is scheduled to supply 350,000 homes across Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Affordability has been a major topic across the country and here in Connecticut. How do you plan to address this issue?

I recognize this as one of the most pressing issues and I will continue to prioritize policy that supports our community such as the family caregiver tax credit, continuing the work in my recent term to support the $300M Early Childhood Endowment Fund, establishing universal free school breakfast programs, and expanding upon tax credits for renewable clean energy.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Throughout my 40 year career, I acquired the many skills I utilize in my public service roles today. Some of the roles I have held include President of Banesto New York. Separately I actively participated in forming an Inter-American Financial Institution with the IIC (Inter American Investment Corporation). This work includes conflict resolution, a disciplined work ethic, a tireless devotion to achieving goals, and bringing plans to fruition.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I was elected in 2022 to the State House of Representatives. There I am a standing member of the Education, Environment, and Transportation Committees. Over the last few years I have secured important funding in support of our schools including construction of Central Middle School and non-profits that serve residents such as Parsonage Cottage, Nathaniel Witheral, the YWCA, the YMCA, Barbara's House, United Way, and River House. I have also served the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) in District 8 since 2019.
