GREENWICH, CT — The national blood supply remains low, but Greenwich residents can help chip in at an upcoming interfaith blood drive organized by the American Red Cross.
The blood drive will take place on Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 1 W. Putnam Ave. People with all blood types are welcome to attend.
"Your donations will help people and can even save lives. So please do not be spooked this Halloween. Help others by giving blood," First Selectman Fred Camillo wrote in his most recent community newsletter.
Camillo thanked the American Red Cross, as well as event sponsors Congregation Shir Ami, First Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, Second Congregational Church and First Presbyterian Church.
Appointments can be made online by entering the code FPCG and selecting a time slot. Residents can also call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
