Greenwich residents and visitors now have a new place to stop for a tasty and healthy break. Swizzles Frozen Yogurt, a self-serve frozen yogurt shop, has arrived at 209 East Putnam Ave.
Offering several varieties of natural, fat-free or low-fat frozen yogurt in flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, pumpkin, cookies n’ cream and cake batter, the shop features a fun and festive atmosphere. Swizzles also offers a temptingly tart Original flavor, and a dairy-free sorbet option. All yogurt and sorbet is certified kosher.

“Five of the flavors stay the same because they’re the favorites, but then we rotate out the other flavors depending on the season and customer requests,” said store manager Bobby Elbaqi.
Customers can add toppings such fruits, nuts and granola, breakfast cereal, candy pieces and syrups, including hot fudge and whipped cream. Frozen yogurt pies and pre-made froyo “bombs” are also available for sale. Hot cocoa and apple cider will be available in the cooler months.

“Many people love something sweet for dessert, but most places don’t give you the healthy options or customization you can get at Swizzles Frozen Yogurt,” said owner Adam Kessner. “We wanted to bring the fun, new and exciting self-serve model to Greenwich to allow our customers to treat themselves.”
Swizzles is planning several community support programs. “As an independent owner, I understand the importance of giving back to the community,” Kessner said. “We welcome the opportunity to help local school organizations achieve their fundraising goals.” As an example, Kessner said, the shop would host Swizzles Benefit Nights, donating 25% of those proceeds to the beneficiary. “We have an entire program in place for this initiative, and look forward to having many benefits at the shop,” Kessner said.
More than just yogurt and toppings, however, Swizzles offers a festive atmosphere. The child-friendly shop features popular music playing, and local musicians looking for a fun spot for a “gig” are welcome to inquire.
“Our product is superior, the self-serve concept is simple, the layout is user-friendly, and the whole vibe of the store is fun,” said Kessner. That’s why our motto is: “It’s Good, It’s Fun… It’s Swizzles!”
Swizzles Frozen Yogurt in Greenwich is Kessner’s fourth store in Connecticut. His other shops are located in Ridgefield, Wilton and Darien, as well as three in MA, and one in NY.
