Veteran Aveda Hair Professionals Find New Home in Cos Cob

Greenwich, CT – Robert Lynch and Ned Kensing, formerly of PURE Aveda Salon of Greenwich, have relocated and opened RobertEdward Aveda (http://www.robertedwardaveda.com). The salon is located within Salon 221 in the Mill Pond Shopping Center in Cos Cob.

“After PURE Aveda Salon closed, we scouted numerous locations in the area that would be comfortable and convenient for our clientele,” said Kensing. “Salon 221’s laid-back atmosphere, central location and free parking made it the perfect spot for Robert and I to open shop again.”

“We’re so pleased to bring the Aveda brand back to the Greenwich community,” said Lynch. “The Aveda products are environmentally friendly, made up of 97% natural ingredients. Healthy for the hair and the environment, we’re looking forward to welcoming our clients back that came to know and love the Aveda brand.”

Lynch has been a hair stylist and colorist for 30 years. Trained in haircutting by Vidal Sassoon, he previously served as a stylist and artistic color director for PURE Aveda Salon in Greenwich, and owned his own salon in White Plains for 25 years. He also has experience as a salon color educator, teaching hair coloring and corrective coloring at Clairol and Wella Inc., and at Aveda training single and double process hair coloring, high and low lighting and corrective hair coloring.

Kensing has more than 10 years of experience as a hair stylist, training with Jose Eber and attending the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, Bumble and Bumble University, Aveda Institute and Tony and Guy New York. He previously served as a senior stylist at Warren Tricomi Salon in Greenwich, and was named artistic director for PURE Aveda Salon in 2004.
