Rarely does a teen have a serious problem that doesn’t soon have a strong impact on the parent as well. You not only have to manage your teen and the consequences of their poor behavior, but are also challenged to find solutions to try to turn the situation around. Dealing with a difficult teen may be the most stressful time being a parent. Some parents may over or under react to his/her teen’s problems and may then fear that it is his/her fault that the teen is acting out in destructive ways.

A parent support group gives feedback about how you may respond better to your teen and helps you to normalize your feelings of anger, guilt, and sadness. You may find solace from other parents who are going through the same trials and tribulations.
