"Luke will always be remembered for his kindness, his creativity, his passion for learning, his determination to make the world a better place and his commitment to the environment," First Selectman Fred Camillo said in his recent newsletter to the community. "Luke was very focused on sea-level rise and its impact on Long Island Sound’s marine life as well as on increasing public awareness on stopping climate change."
All non-biodegradable debris that is found will be tallied and reported to Save the Sound and then sent to the Ocean Conservancy for its ongoing work coordinating results around the world to analyze the types and levels of pollution in the Earth’s waters, Camillo said.
