Applications Open For Greenwich Citizen's Police Academy
The program provides residents with a first-hand overview of the law enforcement and community-related functions of the Greenwich PD.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department announced it is now accepting applications for the Spring 2023 Citizen’s Police Academy Class.
The Citizen’s Police Academy is a program that provides Greenwich residents with a first-hand overview of the law enforcement and community-related functions of the GPD. Instructors for the program are highly trained and experienced Greenwich Police Officers. There is no fee for the nine-week program.
Any Greenwich resident or person employed in Greenwich 18 years of age or older may apply. Greenwich resident applications will receive priority consideration. All applicants must undergo a background inquiry prior to consideration.

Applications must be received no later than Friday, April 21.
Due to the high demand for this class, qualified applicants will be subject to a lottery drawing to determine the class roster.

Seating will be limited to 40 persons. The nine-week session will befgin on Wednesday, April 26, and meet once a week from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Wednesday and one Monday). Graduation will be held on Wednesday, June 21.
